Vijay Sethupathi is a well-known face of Tamil cinema. With his villain act in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer `Jawan` and his romantic-mysterious lead in Sriram Raghavan`s `Merry Christmas`, has surely garnered him a lot more fans from the Northern belt as well. Last year, Vijay was also seen in a prominent role in the Hindi web series `Farzi`. In `Merry Christmas`, the actor was paired with Katrina Kaif for the first time. 

Before the release of `Merry Christmas`, Vijay Sethupathi was seen talking about his movies and life in multiple interviews. However, during these rounds of interviews he decided to free himself of the label of being simple. During a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, fan adored Setupathi for his simplicity which led to the actor clarifying, "People say that [I am simple]. It’s not accurate.” He said, “I dress comfortably. I could even wear a blazer,” gesturing towards his peach shirt. “I chose this attire today because it’s comfortable, not for simplicity. What I’m wearing is actually expensive.”
