Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer War 2 was among the most anticipated films of the year. The film is part of the YRF Spy Universe and marked the Bollywood debut of Telugu superstar Jr NTR. Despite poor reviews, the film managed to rake in over Rs 50 crore on its opening day, even while clashing at the box office with Rajinikanth's Coolie. On Day 2, the film saw a 10% growth owing to the Independence Day national holiday.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, War 2 collected approximately Rs 56.5 crore in India across all languages. This marks nearly a 10% growth from its Day 1 collections. With this, the film’s total has crossed Rs 100 crore.

On Day 2, the Ayan Mukerji directorial recorded an overall occupancy rate of 51.52% and collected around Rs 40 crore from the Hindi version alone. The Telugu version saw a dip on day 2 as compared to opening day.
