Yami Gautam reveals the truth about her incurable skin condition, sheds her fears and insecurities

Actress Yami Gautam decided to come to terms with her skin condition and talked about her 'flaws' and 'insecurities' in an Instagram post

In a recent post on Instagram, 'Uri' actress Yami Gautam revealed that she suffers from an incurable skin condition called Keratosis Pilaris. She explained that this skin condition causes small bumps on the skin, and there's still no cure for it.


Yami decided to come to terms with her condition and talked about her 'flaws' and 'insecurities' in an Instagram post. Sharing a few no filter pictures on the photo-sharing app, Yami wrote, "I recently shot for some images and just when they were about to go in for post-production (a common procedure) to conceal my skin-condition called Keratosis-Pilaris, I thought, ‘Hey Yami, why don’t you embrace this fact and accept it enough to be OKAY with it. Yami Gautam further explained that her skin condition isn't as bad as it sounds and that it developed during her teenage years.

Fans and friends from the film fraternity supported Yami in the comments section. "So beautiful always," Tahira Kashyap wrote. "Stunning! As always," actor Kajal Aggarwal commented. "So so beautiful," Yami's 'Bhoot Police' co-star Jacqueline Fernandez wrote.

On the work front, Yami has multiple films in the pipeline including 'A Thursday', 'Lost' and 'Dasvi'.

On the personal front, Yami Gautam recently got married to her 'Uri' director Aditya Dhar in a hush-hush ceremony in June this year.
