Kartik`s parents are doctors and even his younger sister is now a doctor. He pursued an engineering degree in biotechnology from Navi Mumbai`s DY Patil college. He has often said in his interviews that his goal to shift base to Mumbai was to be able to audition for films. He would skip classes and travel for hours via train to attend auditions. He made his debut in 2011 with the Luv Ranjan film `Pyaar Ka Punchnama`

While Kartik has floored the audience with his impeccable dance moves, he is known to put in hours of hard work to perfect the moves. The actor trained for an entire week to nail the small dance sequence in `Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2` where he performs Tandav

He once had to stay with 12 other aspiring actors and was earning his living by cooking for them! 

Kartik Aaryan is also a fitness enthusiast and it shows. He had once revealed that he does 200 pushups and 500 skips every day apart from mountain climbing, leg crunches, leg raises, and cycling
