Set in Mumbai, Khaali Peeli, directed by Maqbool Khan, is a young, edgy rollercoaster ride that kick-starts one night when a boy meets a girl. This film will be Ishaan Khatter's second Bollywood film after Dhadak.
In fact, speaking about the second film, Ananya Panday will also be seen for the second time on the silver screen. The actress made her Bollywood debut with Student Of The Year 2, alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria.
The Maqbool Khan-directorial, Panday says Khaali Peeli is an "intense thriller and romantic film" but has commercial viability too.
Ananya Panday, who sports a Mumbai accent in the film, says that she trained on the sets. "I have a Bambaiya accent in the film. Our director Maqbool is good with the lingo, so I kept interacting with him and that has been my learning source."
After completing the first schedule, Ananya Panday still seems to be adjusting to the night shoots. "I didn't do any night shoots while working on Student Of The Year 2 because Tiger [Shroff] sleeps by 10 pm. The film has been challenging and interesting in its own way."
