Tabu did justice to her character Nimmi, by potraying every emotion be it love, ambition, guilt and much more!

Tabu won a National award for `Best actress` for her potrayal as Mumtaz in Madhur Bhandarkar`s `Chandni Bar.` A gritty tale about the underworld and dance bars, watch Tabu go from a naive young woman, to a bar dancer and finally a mother seeking justice.

Who can forget Tabu as Anuradha in Priyadarshan`s `Hera Pheri.` Although it was Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal leading the cast, Tabu left an impact with her hilarious act be it her desperation for a job or her attempts to seduce Suniel`s character Shyam, she had us rolling on the floor laughing!

This Mira Nair directorial was based on the novel `The Namesake` by Jhumpa Lahiri. The film showed the struggles of Ashoke and Ashima Ganguli (Irrfan Khan and Tabu), first-generation immigrants from Bengal to the United States. Watching powerhouse performers Tabu and Irrfan come together was an absolute treat.
