Melbourne: Wayne Rogers, who was known for his character of 'Trapper John McIntyre' in the hit series 'M.A.S.H.,' has passed away.

The 82-year-old actor's publicist and long-time friend Rona Menashe said that he was surrounded by his family when he died on January 1 in Los Angeles due to complications from pneumonia, reports News.com.au.
An Alabama native and Princeton graduate, Rogers had parts on many short-lived shows before 'M.A.S.H.', specialising in westerns such as 'Law of the Plainsman' and 'Stagecoach West.'
Rogers is survived by his wife Amy, two children, Bill and Laura, and four grandchildren.
