Los Angeles: The title of the upcoming third installment of the rebooted Star Trek reportedly is 'Star Trek Beyond'.

The title has been registered with the Motion Picture Association of America, reported Ace Showbiz.
Simon Pegg, who is writing the script with Doug Jung, did hint that 'Star Trek 3' would take the USS Enterprise into uncharted territory.
Justin Lin will take over the helming duty from JJ Abrams, who's busy with 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'. The film is set to open on July 8, 2016 Stateside.
Chris&nbsp;Pine, Zachary Quinto, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, and Zoe Saldana will reprise their respective roles. They will be joined by new member Idris Elba who will play a new original 'kickass' character.
