Beyonce has opened up for the first time about childbirth and her connection with her one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

She told the US Vogue magazine that she felt very maternal when she eight months up in her pregnancy. And she thought that she couldn''t become any more until she saw the baby, the Daily Mail reported.

The 31-year-old singer said that it happened when she went into labour because she had a very strong connection with her child.

The popstar said that when was having contractions, she envisioned her child pushing through a very heavy door. And she even imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so she couldn’t think about her own pain.

Beyonce said that she felt as though her child was reaching out to her and they were taking and having a communication.

She added that everything that scared her just was not present in the labour room. She went to say that the day she gave birth was the best day of her life, as she could really let go and appreciate every contraction.

Beyonce admitted she’s never been more aware of herself as an independent woman until now. u00a0The singer explained that after giving birth, she really understands the power of her body.

She said that she feels that her body means something completely different, and now she feels a lot more confident about it. u00a0“I feel a lot more like a woman. More feminine, more sensual. And no shame."

The Destiny''s Child singer goes on to reveal that Blue is "My road dog, my homey, my best friend", we''re not sure what a road dog is - but it sounds cute.
