Los Angeles: Singers Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood won big at the 2016 CMT Music Awards.

Tim McGraw walked away with Video of the Year, the biggest prize of the awards gala held at Nashville on Wednesday, for his music video for "Humble and kind", while Underwood won the Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year awards for her song "Smoke break", reports aceshowbiz.com.

McGraw won the trophy, which was presented to him by Vince Vaughn, over fellow country superstars like Blake Shelton ("Sangria"), Thomas Rhett ("Die a Happy Man"), Chris Stapleton ("Fire Away") and Luke Bryan ("Strip It Down").
Shelton bagged the Social Superstar Award, while Rhett won the Male Video of the Year trophy for "Die a Happy Man". Stapleton accepted the Breakthrough Video of the Year for "Fire Away" and Little Big Town was honoured with the Group Video of the Year for "Girl Crush".
