Labelled as the Beyonce and Jay Z of country music, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are no longer together. The Voice coach has alleged infidelity as the reason that has forced him to file for divorce. He apparently had two separate men confirming to him that his star wife had been unfaithful.

Blake reportedly began to get suspicious after hearing rumours that his wife had cheated with fellow country star, Chris Young, but their alleged affair wasn't what caused the split. Rather, it was another incident with a non-country singer that finally had him file divorce papers.

In a joint statement, they said: "This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

As soon as the news of their split broke out, the Twitterati went into a tizzy. One of their followers on the microblogging website posted, "Now that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are getting divorced I can say with 100% confidence that love does not exist (sic)."

Another wrote, "I'm taking @blakeshelton and @mirandalambert's split much harder than a normal person should. #whatislife (sic)." The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in May. This is the second divorce for Shelton.
