The show follows former beauty queen-turned-small town bureaucrat Constance Young (Shue), who is devastated after her husband dies under mysterious circumstances. When she realises she and her family are on the verge of financial ruin, Constance turns to manipulating the books at City Hall, while simultaneously trying to reinvent herself through the cut-throat competition in the world of direct-sales cosmetics.
KC Perry of "The Originals" has written the script. Downey Jr's wife, Susan, is also backing the project under their banner, Team Downey. Another show to get the pilot order from TNT is real-life boxing drama "Beast Mode", from writer David Schneiderman ("Level Up").
