Actress Frieda Pinto is impressed with her Rise of the Planet of the Apes co-star James Franco's "unconventional" acting style, which helped her learn a lot.
Pinto, who shot to fame playing Latika in the 2008 Academy-award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, stars alongside Franco, 33, in the sci-fi.
"He's got his own unique and distinctive style of acting. It's not conventional at all. It does take you by surprise initially, but it's all about being flexible and trying to understand how another actor works.

I found a lot of things in his acting style that I could pick up and learn from," said Pinto. Pinto, 26, explained that she opted for the film because it humanised chimpanzees.

"I play a primatologist and I have dedicated my entire life to chimpanzees. I just felt like there was some humanising there," added Pinto.
