Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner says parents should use fresh food in the kitchen and also involve their children in the process to encourage healthy eating habits.
The 39-year-old star, who inaugurated the Frigidaire Kids' Cooking Academy Summer Session last Thursday, visited Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown Heights, New York to pick vegetables with a group of children.
The 13 Going On 30 star insists that the aim was to provide a first hand experience of preparing freshly picked vegetables to the busy parents and their children.
"I'm a huge fan and avid supporter of my local farmers' market. Showing kids how foods go from farm to table is an important first step in creating healthy eating habits.
The Frigidaire Summer School is a great way to educate kids and their parents about the importance of eating fresh," said Garner.
