Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet has transformed into her favourite heroine Elizabeth Taylor for a new magazine photoshoot.

The 35-year-old star poses as the legendary Hollywood actress, who died in March this year, in a series of snaps shot by famed photographer Mario Testino for a magazine's Heroes issue.



In the spread, Winslet sports an uncanny likeness of the Cleopatra icon, as she dons headscarves, turbans and Harry Winston and Chanel gems.

Winslet also describes how Taylor inspired her career. "There was a real fearlessness in her," she said.
