Despite losing Video of the Year to Perry, Adele did not return home empty handed. She bagged four awards, including Best Art Direction, Editing, Cinematography, and Direction - for her Rolling In The Deep video.

Pop icon Lady Gaga bagged the Best Video with a Message and Best Female Video for her Born This Way clip.

The other winners include Justin Bieber (Best Male Video), Beyonce Knowles (Best Choreography), Britney Spears (Best Pop Video), Nicki Minaj (Best Hip-Hop), and Foo Fighters (Best Rock Video).
The 28th annual awards ceremony on August 28th featured live performances by the likes of Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Beyonce and Lady Gaga.
