Nicole Kidman's husband was named Male Artist of the Year, while he also scooped the Top Selling Album of the Year trophy for his hit record 'You Gonna Fly'.
Urban was unable to attend the glitzy bash at Tamworth's Regional Entertainment Centre but he addressed his fans via video link.
"Thank you so much. The biggest thank you to all you guys out there who bought this record. I appreciate that so much. Have a blast in Tamworth," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
Beccy Cole was another big winner, taking home two Golden Guitars for Female Artist of the Year and Vocal Collaboration of the Year for her duet with Kasey Chambers, called 'Millionaires'.
Other winners included Adam Harvey, who picked up Album of the Year for 'Falling into Place', while Catherine Britt won Single of the Year for 'Sweet Emmylou'.
