Mandy Moore reportedly jetted to Washington, D.C. last week to urge Congress to focus on finding a solution to the world''s unsafe drinking water problem
Moore, who is an ambassador of child survival organisation Population Services International, arrived in the capital on Monday to attend the inaugural USAID Frontiers in Development Forum.

She also co-hosted a briefing called ‘The Ripple Effect of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene on Global Health and Development’, the following day.u00a0The actress shared her experiences of meeting poverty-stricken people in Sudan, who have taken seriously ill from contaminated drinking water.
“One out of six lacks safe drinking water,” she sad.u00a0During the three-day event, the 28-year-old star also met with world leaders and government officials to stress the importance of taking swift action.
