TMZ reports that Brittany Murphy died early Sunday morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived. She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ. Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Murphy starred in such films as Happy Feet, Sin City, Uptown Girls, Clueless, 8 Mile and Don't Say A Word.
There's bound to be speculation about the cause of Murphy's death. Initial reports cite cardiac arrest, the same cause that was attributed to Michael Jackson's death earlier this year.
Murphy made headlines earlier this month when her husband's health scare led him to the hospital. She also reportedly parted ways on bad terms from production of the upcoming movie The Caller.
