Earlier this month, mid-day reported that Adarsh Gourav is expected to join the shoot of the television series, Alien, in mid-January (To live and workshop with them can be daunting, Jan 5). Sure enough, the actor is leaving for Thailand tomorrow for a four-month schedule of director Noah Hawley’s sci-fi horror show, which has Ridley Scott serve as the executive producer. So, is he feeling pre-shoot jitters? “Embarking on this journey with the Alien franchise is a dream come true. To be part of such a storied project is an incredible opportunity,” exclaims The White Tiger (2021) actor.

The show is set 70 years before the events depicted in Scott’s film, Alien (1979). This time, the narrative unfolds on Earth. The show also stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin and Essie Davis. While they conducted a two-week shoot in Bangkok last year before the SAG-AFTRA strike halted all productions, the team will now extensively shoot in Koh Samui and Bangkok. Gourav shares, “Noah Hawley’s creative genius combined with Ridley Scott’s legendary touch makes this an extraordinary venture, and I’m eager to bring this story to life.”
