Ali Fazal and Judi Dench

Ali Fazal was homesick on Bakri Eid, but co-star Hollywood veteran Judi Dench ensured that it was a day to remember. The unit of Victoria and Abdul was shooting in the outskirts of London. On the day of Eid, the crew delayed the shoot for him to be able to offer Eid prayers at the Central Mosque in London. Biryani was served on the set. Ali says, “Judi ma’am’s royal treatment was fabulous.”
