K-pop band BTS’s birthday boy Park Jimin turns 26 today. He is the dancer and main vocalist of the group. While Jimin is known to be a perfectionist, did you know a recent moment of him pausing in between his speech at the UN General Assembly went viral? Later the pop-star confessed he was nervous but fans ensured he knows that he did nothing wrong and it was perfectly normal. Nation’s Pride Jimin, South Korea’s Pride Jimin, Busan’s prince Jimin started trending world over. The UN Deputy Secretary general Amina J Mohammed gave him a fist bump after the speech.

Later Jimin explained he had been practicing the speech since 3am. “Those three-four seconds seemed like 20 years to me. My legs were trembling during the speech. I stayed up all night to memorise that speech,” he said. He explained that he got nervous because the audience comprised of dignitaries from all over the world and it had been almost two years since the group interacted with a live audience.

Group leader RM added, “Jimin worked the hardest among us.”

Here's wishing Park Jimin a happy birthday!
