The Emmy Awards 2024 gave us some moving content, from Charlie Puth's tribute to Matthew to Perry receiving a standing ovation at the Emmy Awards 2024, which was undoubtedly one of the most touching moments of the night. Christina arrived at the award show amid her battle with multiple sclerosis to present the first award of the night.

The actress had earlier hinted at retirement after the completion of her Netflix show 'Death to Me'. The actress was visibly moved by her Hollywood contemporaries, who gave her a standing ovation. Despite it being such an emotional moment, Christina maintained her trademark humour.

The actress looked teary-eyed; she took a moment before she remarked, “You are totally shaming me with disability with standing up.” Amid the continuous applause, she cracked a few jokes about her body not being 'By Ozempic' (a drug being used to aid weight loss). She continued to say, “We don’t have to applaud every time I do something.” Christina Applegate also spoke about the man who accompanied her on stage, saying, “I actually don’t need him here, he’s just really cute.”
