Oscar winning actor Colin Firth attended a high-profile dinner date yesterday - the Buckingham Palace soiree being thrown by Queen Elizabeth II for visiting head of state, US President Barack Obama. The 50-year-old actor, who won the Academy award for his performance as the stuttering King George VI in the British drama The King's Speech, was invited along with his wife, Livia, reported Daily Star online. <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2011/may/colin.jpg" border="5" /> The party, at the monarch's London residence, was to celebrate the US leader's visit to the UK.
