Pic/Santa Banta Jolie&rsquo;s character starts out as a pure-hearted woman in the film, who is trying to protect her kingdom from an invasion, but a betrayal turns her into a vengeful woman and she puts a curse on the invading kingdom&rsquo;s princess, whom Maleficent reveals herself to in the trailer. The movie, which also stars Elle Fanning, Peter Capaldi and Sharlto Copley, will hit the theatres in May 2014.
