The ‘Golden Maknae’ of BTS rescued emcee Kim Sung Joo at the 2016 DMC Festival

The youngest member of Korean boy band BTS, Jungkook also called ‘Golden Maknae’ by BTS Army, has often been lauded for his bravery. Now a video has resurfaced on the internet where emcee Kim Sung Joo recalled how Jungkook saved him from suffering serious injuries, in the nick of time in 2016.

Kim Sung Joo recalls he was hosting the 2016 DMC Festival and was unaware that the lifts had been lowered, creating holes in the stage. He fell right into Jungkook’s pit, who caught him in time and saved his life. Jungkook ended up injuring his left hand due to the accident but still put up a performance to the group's hit song 'Fire.'
The emcee opened up about the incident in 2018 and fans were left awestruck by Jungkook’s presence of mind.
