Singer Katy Perry who recently parted ways with husband Russell Brand has urged fans to avoid "gossip" about their marriage breakdown.

Brand had cited "irreconcilable differences", when he filed for divorce from the pop star Dec 30. Both stars have kept quiet since the news broke, but Perry has now taken to her Twitter to address the numerous rumours about their romance.
