Los Angeles: Singer Mel B says she and Eddie Murphy have a "very respectful" relationship now, even though he initially denied paternity of their daughter Angel when she was born.

The former couple have put the past behind and now have a civil relationship for the sake of Angel, eight, reported Female First.
Speaking on the "Allegedly with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss" podcast, Mel revealed that Angel sees her husband Stephen Belafonte as her dad but Eddie is involved in her life.
Asked if she has a relationship with Eddie, Mel said, "I do, but it's very respectful. She sees Stephen as her dad. He's been there since the beginning."
When asked previously if she was upset when Eddie publicly requested a paternity test, she said: "That's not true. That's the press for you... I don't get bothered by it. Life carries on. Eddie and I have always got on. It has always been good. I'm happy with who I am."
Mel also has daughter Phoenix, 16, from her marriage to Jimmy Gulzar and four-year-old Madison with husband Stephen and she insisted that her children will always come before her career.
