Model-actress Milla Jovovich has paid tribute to the victims of a typhoon in the Philippines, which has so far left more than 1,000 people dead or missing.



The southern Philippines island of Mindanao was hit by flash flooding over the weekend and on December 20 authorities started burying the dead, Daily Star reported. Now the 'Resident Evil' beauty has sent her condolences to those who have been affected by the disaster.

"My heart goes out to the families of the typhoon victims in the Philippines. Mostly women and kids died in their homes because it was night," she posted on Twitter.
