Indian music maestro A.R. Rahman lost the Oscar for best original score to composer duo Trent Rezmor and Atticus Ross who won it for "The Social Network" at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards here.

Rahman is also nominated in the best song category with Dido and Rolo Armstrong, who have penned the lyrics of "If I Rise".
