K-pop group Seventeen launched a new world tour this fall, beginning with a two-day concert in Incheon on Sept. 13–14. Day 1 of a two-day series drew over 29,000 attendees; however, a pyrotechnics mishap left 2 attendees injured. SEVENTEEN’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, has issued an official apology following the incident and explained that despite safety checks and professional setup, defective products caused sparks.

SEVENTEEN’s concert at Incheon leave fans injured

The incident occurred during the final segment of the group`s performance when several fireworks got launched directly towards the crowd, injuring multiple fans. SEVENTEEN`s agency, Pledis Entertainment, on the 14th released an apology saying, "during the final segment of the ‘SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN INCHEON’ performance held on Sept. 13 (Sat), some of the special-effect sparks used unexpectedly fell toward the audience seating area."
