To all the K-drama fans, we have bittersweet news for you. The popular South Korean star Cha Eun-woo has decided to step away from the spotlight for a while to fulfill his mandatory military service. The news that he has been enlisted to serve his mandatory duty was confirmed by his agency on May 29, and since then, fans have been pouring their hearts out as they already miss him.

Cha Eun-woo to start his military service soon

Earlier this month, news broke that Cha Eun-woo, 28, had applied to join the Army Military Band. His agency, Fantagio, has now announced, “Recently, Cha Eun-woo applied to join the Army Military Band and received a final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration today. He will enter the training centre on July 28 and undergo basic military training before fulfilling his duty in the Army Military Band.”

“To prevent safety accidents due to congestion on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Cha Eun-woo’s enlistment will be kept private, and there will be no separate events held,” the agency shared in a statement, as per Soompi.
