Ace Telugu director S S Rajamouli said he has not used the format of 3D in his upcoming film 'Baahubali' as he likes the characters in films to look real.

"I don't like the format of 3D. 3D gives enhancement to characters but it reduces the scale of the film. I want my characters to look real," Rajamouli told reporters here at the promotional event of the film.

Known for spectacular special effects in his films, trailer of 'Baahubali' has garnered praises from megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Elated by Bachchan's appreciation, the director said he is also happy with the response the film has gotten so far down south and hopes audiences here (Hindi cinema) also like it.

To a query on similarities being drawn between 'Baahubali' and Hollywood blockbuster '300', Rajamouli said, "I don't know how the comparisons can happen. It's a different film... there are no similarities."

On being quizzed over the 'larger than life' villains in his films, the 'Magadheera' helmer said he likes to show the villain of his films as "more powerful and grand".

"I always want to show villains in my movies bigger than the hero. I want to show them more powerful and stronger.

People should think why this guy is not getting beaten up," he said.
