Popular Tamil comedian Vivek's 13-year-old son passed away on Thursday morning following brain fever, family sources said

Chennai: Popular Tamil comedian Vivek's 13-year-old son passed away on Thursday morning following brain fever, family sources said.

Prasanna Kumar was admitted to a city hospital for brain fever where he had been undergoing treatment for the last 40 days, sources close to the family said.

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa expressed grief over the death. In a condolence message to Vivek, Jayalalithaa said that she was grieved to know about his son's death.

"While this is an irreparable loss, I pray Lord Almighty to give you the strength to overcome this grief...," she said.
