Rajkummar Rao-starrer Newton may be out of the Oscar race, but there is still a flicker of hope. Two tracks from South icon Mohanalal's Malayalam thriller Pulimurugan have made it to the Oscar 2018 race in the Best Original Song list.

Kaadanayum Kaalchilambe and Maanathe Maarikurumbe, composed by Gopi Sundar, are among the top 70 tracks, which was released by the Academy yesterday. The makers are hopeful for a nomination.
