Coolie's release date is fast approaching, and Rajinikanth's fans are anxiously awaiting it. The film includes a star-studded cast, including Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who has already captivated audiences with his dramatic portrayal of Dahaa in the teaser. The star reportedly charged ₹20 crore for his cameo. However, a report in India Today now confirms his exact remuneration for the film.
Aamir will have a 15-minute role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's flick. According to sources close to the actor, Aamir has not charged any fees for the film. "Aamir Khan admires and respects Rajinikanth and the Coolie team. He immediately agreed to the idea without even hearing the full story. This cameo is his way of expressing his affection for the squad, and he has not been compensated for his participation," the insider stated.
Earlier, during the audio trailer launch in Hyderabad, Aamir Khan shared the reason why he agreed to do the film, even if it was a cameo. Aamir said, "Lokesh came to meet me. I didn’t know why he was coming to meet me. He said, ‘It’s for Coolie. I want you to do a role in the film.’ The moment I got to know it’s Coolie and Rajini Sir’s film… after many, many years, probably for the first time, I have said yes to a film without hearing the script, without hearing anything."
