On Mani Ratnam's birthday, Aditi Rao Hydari thanked him for making her believe “that dreams come true.”

Aditi Rao Hydari penned a heartfelt post to her “favouritest person” Mani Ratnam, who turned 65 on Wednesday. The actor, said to be his muse, wished the veteran filmmaker “endless years of making movies, infectious energy, good health and playing golf.” She thanked him for making her believe “that dreams come true.” Hydari maintains that after featuring in Ratnam’s 'Kaatru Veliyidai' (2017) and 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' (2018), South filmmakers looked at her anew.

Aditi in a long post wrote, "To many many endless years of making movies, your infectious energy, good health,happiness and golf! Thank you for being the best teacher, parent, mentor, captain. Thank you for the magic of cinema, for making me (us) enjoy every bit of the journey of making a film. Thank you always for making me believe that dreams come true Thank you for being you You’re the best forever [sic]."
On the work front, Aditi was last seen in Netlfix's 'Sardar Ka Grandson', which also starred Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, John Abraham, Neetu Kapoor, among others. Hydari, meanwhile, is also elated with the response to her performance in Neeraj Ghaywan-directed segment of 'Ajeeb Daastaans', titled 'Geeli Pucchi', also starring Konkona Sen Sharma. In the film, which addresses issues like caste system, patriarchy, sexuality and privilege, Hydari plays the character of Priya, an upper caste, newly married woman.
