Five months after Allu Arjun and filmmaker Atlee rolled their big-budget action spectacle, the working title of which is AA22xA6, it’s time for leading lady Deepika Padukone to take centre-stage. mid-day has learnt that the actor began filming for the project at Chitrakoot Grounds in Andheri last week. It looks like Padukone’s first scene itself is a massive undertaking — an action sequence that features a gorilla.
Trust Atlee to come up with an inventive action set-piece. The gorilla has been designed by an international stunt and creature-movement team brought in specially for this sequence, and is operated through animatronics. A source reveals, “Given the ambitious nature of the film, Deepika was clear that she wanted to be
fully prepared before stepping in front of the camera. She underwent month-long prep that included stunt training, movement rehearsals, and technical walk-through because almost all her sequences in this schedule requires perfect timing, technical awareness, and split-second reactions.”
