Jiya Shankar who played Nisha in `Ved` with Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh dropped in at the mid-day.com office, where she spoke about how she got into acting, future plans and much more!

Speaking about how she started out, the actress said, "I started when I was 16. I used to go to auditions but did not have the guts to stand in front of the camera. One day I decided, I watched enough people audition in front of me, so it`s time I go there, hold the slate in my hand and say `I`m Jiya Shankar.` There was no stopping after that."
