Renowned film director Siddique, celebrated for his unique storytelling and authentic portrayal of relatable characters, tragically passed away at the age of 63 on Tuesday. Siddique was admitted to Amrita Hospital, situated in the city of Kochi, last month due to a severe liver ailment which had been progressively deteriorating his health.

The situation took a graver turn on Monday afternoon when Siddique suffered a sudden heart attack. Immediately responding to this critical development, the medical team placed him on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support, a lifesaving technique used for patients with severe heart and lung issues. The ECMO machine works by pumping and oxygenating a patient`s blood outside the body, allowing the heart and lungs to rest.
