Prabhudheva is all set to play the antagonist for his upcoming project, a silent thriller named Mercury with filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. Subbaraj shared his thoughts saying "While I was making films down south, I had an idea to make a film without dialogues. So I began writing an engaging thriller and was happy with the end result". The filmmaker's Tamil Musical – Gangster won two national awards for Best supporting actor and Best Editing at the award ceremony.
