Malayalam TV actress Dr Priya, who has acted in shows like Karuthamuthu, has passed away after a cardiac arrest, sending the industry into shock. The 35-year-old was eight months pregnant when she breathed her last at a private hospital on Tuesday. The newborn baby is reportedly in ICU currently. The news comes a day after the shock of actress Renjusha Menon's demise.

Actor Kishor Satya shared the news of Dr Priya's death with fans on social media. "Yet another unexpected death in the Malayalam TV industry. Dr Priya has died of a heart attack. She was eight months pregnant. She suffered a cardiac arrest when she went to the hospital for a regular checkup. She had no prior health issues. Her newborn child is currently in the ICU," wrote actor Kishor Sathya.
