Punjabi actor-singer Rajvir Jawanda died on Wednesday morning, 11 days after he was seriously injured in a road accident. The 35-year-old was declared dead at 10:55 am, hospital authorities said. Jawanda, a rising name in the Punjabi showbiz industry, had been on life support ever since he was brought to Fortis Hospital in Mohali in an extremely critical condition.

Rajvir's road accident

Around 11 days ago, Rajvir was seriously injured in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. He was riding his motorcycle en route to Shimla on September 27 when the mishap occurred. The singer sustained severe head and spine injuries in the accident and also suffered a cardiac arrest before being shifted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali in a critical state. Upon arrival, he was immediately given emergency care, assessed by the neurosurgery team, and put on advanced life support.
