Superstar Rajinikanth is currently in the Himalayas on a spiritual trip while his film 'Jailer' breaks box office records. The superstar has been following this ritual after each of his film releases for years. A snapshot of Rajinikanth has now leaked on social media. In the viral photo, he is seen posing with two of his buddies.

Rajinikanth can be seen dressed in a white kurta and pyjamas while smiling and posing for the picture. He's wearing a tilak and standing on a bridge. While everyone celebrates the blockbuster ‘Jailer’, the actor is away from the glitter and glamour of the world.

The superstar was sighted at Dehradun airport on August 9 while heading to the Himalayas. Fans flocked to him for selfies, which he gladly accepted.

According to rumours, Rajinikanth has a habit of taking spiritual journeys to the tranquil Himalayas after finishing each film. However, due to health difficulties, he briefly halted this tradition in 2010. Later, after finishing his films Kaala and 2.0, the actor continued his spiritual quest.

For the uninitiated, Jailer is getting a lot of love from audiences all over the world. Rajinikanth's return to the big screen after two years, Mohanlal's cameo, Nelson Dilipkumar's directing, and other aspects have all wowed the audience. The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role, alongside Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, and Vasanth Ravi in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander created the soundtrack, and Vijay Kartik Kannan handled the cinematography.

The film's plot revolves around Muthuvel Pandian, a simple-looking family guy and former jailer whose appearance conceals his ruthless killer instincts as he tracks down a prominent gang leader who has escaped from prison.

According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the film grossed Rs. ₹98.70 crore on its first day of release worldwide. Jailer is breaking box office records and has become the year's highest-grossing Tamil debut.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to his Twitter account and said, "In 2023, after #Thunivu, #Jailer will become the 2 Tamil Biggie to enter the profit zone in a matter of days in Key markets both in India and International."
