Buzz is Rajinikanth's 2.0 will not release before mid- 2018 as the special effects is taking a lot of time. Though there are plans to release it on April 14 to coincide with the Tamil New Year, it appears unlikely. The VFX is happening at 11 studios across the world. It's taking more time than expected, but director Shankar does not want to compromise.
