Pushpa star Allu Arjun recently threw a glamorous cocktail party in Hyderabad for his brother, Allu Sirish, and his soon-to-be sister-in-law, Nayanika Reddy ahead of their wedding. As pictures and videos from the celebrations emerged, fans noticed video of Ram Charan attending it while in Ayyappa deeksha (spiritual vow). This led to many questioning how the actor could be attending a party while in mala (sacred beads). However, Sirish has now clarified that his cousin's presence.
Traditionally, those in Ayyappa deeksha are expected to follow a rigorous routine for 41-48 days, during which they dress in black, go barefoot, sleep on the floor, observe celibacy, and eat only vegetarian food, avoiding onions, garlic, and alcohol. Men in deeksha are often referred to as Swami.
