Shruti Haasan is not jetting off to Chennai to be with father Kamal Haasan on counting day tomorrow due to the prevailing conditions. The veteran actor-filmmaker is contesting from the Coimbatore (South) constituency.

She will be monitoring the Tamil Nadu assembly poll results from Mumbai. Shruti is said to be keen to know how the political battle turns out in her home state, and how many seats her father’s party, Makkal Needhi Maiam, manages to secure. Last month, Shruti had especially travelled from Mumbai to Chennai to exercise her franchise.
