South star Parvathy on her 'jugalbandi' with Siddharth as they team up for 'Navarasa'

Parvathy and Siddharth
It’s a rare cinematic treat to see South stars Siddharth and Parvathy — fierce performers on screen and free thinkers off it — share a frame. Their “jugalbandi”, as Parvathy calls it, will soon be evident in Navarasa, Netflix’s anthology that studies nine different human emotions through its nine stories. The actors are set to headline Inmai, directed by Rathindran R Prasad, which has the theme of fear.
“Siddharth has the power to express just through his eyes. He could be still, but I would be able to feel what he is [trying to say]. That made my job much easier,” says Parvathy, recollecting her virtual prep with the Jigarthanda actor that began late last year after the project was announced. “It was a great jugalbandi. Siddharth and I did several Zoom calls before we came on the set. Our shift from the virtual world to the physical world [was seamless]. We slid into the shoot with zero friction.”
