Just when Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi finally made it to the silver screen following a certification row, the film is now facing a fresh set of challenges. The Tamil Nadu Youth Congress has now called for a ban on the film released on January 10, 2026, alleging that it distorts historical events involving the Congress.
Senior vice president of Tamil Nadu Youth Congress, Arun Bhaskar, claimed that Parasakthi is a “pro-DMK movie." He further described it as a “pro-Tamil, anti-Hindu stand”. The Youth Congress president alleged that the film falsely indicates that only Hindi was permitted in post office forms. He says it was a “complete fabrication” aimed at tarnishing Congress.
