A source says, "Sidharth had downed a few pegs and was driving along the JVPD route when he was asked by the traffic police to pull over. The breathalyser revealed that he had consumed alcohol more than the permissible limit and he was charged for drinking and driving. Sidharth, who was alone, was let off after paying a fine of Rs 2000 but the authorities seized his vehicle as well as his license."

An eyewitness reveals Sidharth got aggressive when he saw a young man filming the entire incident. "The cops had no clue he was a celebrity. They found who he was only when a few bystanders crowded around his car and took out their phones to take his pictures. One of them went a bit too close and Sidharth pushed him aside and tried to snatch his phone," the source adds. The video is now doing the rounds in the online sphere.

In October last year, the small screen actor, who was seen in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' as Alia Bhatt's fiancé, had been in a car accident in Juhu area.

Sidharth was not available for comment.
